Green Week at Holland School
Monday- Unit 29 Spelling Challenge and On-Level lists/Homework www.spellingcity.com –Test on June 1st
Paperless day!!
Today we will begin the Cinderella Project. Each student will listen to the original story of Cinderella and then we will read the other versions of Cinderella to compare and contrast. On Wednesday, each student will begin writing their own version of the story to share with the class.
Tuesday-Send home study guide for Social Studies New Jersey test at the end of June/Recycled Door Decorating Contest
Earth Day Assembly at 1:30 today.
We began a project in math called Geometry town. The students will follow a rubric of directions to fill out a poster size paper using different geometrical terms and shapes.
Wednesday-No-Homework
Garbage Free Lunch/Garbage and food waste will be weighed by class
Gym Show at 9:30 in the morning.
The children will present their postcards of New Jersey with the different regions. This will be a graded piece.
Thursday-TRIP TO THE LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER/PACK LUNCH FOR TRIP/ELECTRONICS ALLOWED/SNEAKERS ONLY
Children can bring electronics for the bus ride and chaperones will be bringing a backpack each to carry student’s lunches. Each parent will have a detailed list of cell phone and home numbers of each student’s parents in our class. We will have Nurse Ashley accompanying us also. We will leave promptly at 8:45 and hopefully not hit too much traffic and be back in time for buses at 2:30.
