Hi All,
I just spoke with Dr. Yard and she informed me that we need to start middle school
rehearsals earlier to accomodate the buses dropping off students for
the elementary school. Unfortunately the traffic from the morning
middle school activities is causing congestion in the parking lot and
even onto 519, which has been effecting the local police officers as
well.
Dr. Yard has asked that all 5th - 8th grade students be dropped off
for band by 8:00 AM.
SmartMusic: For those of you with SmartMusic, these are the songs that we are working on that are online to practice with:
4th Grade: The Big Three (as well as any Essential Elements Assignments)
5th Grade: The Firebird
Concert Band: Blue Alien Accumulation
Jazz Band: The Jazz Police, Sax to the Max, Softly as in a Morning Sunrise

6th - 8th Grade Concert Band: Students should be practicing 'March Slav' and 'Blue Alien Accumulation'
Our trip to Del Val HS is on Thursday March 22nd. Students have been given permission slips and they are also online here:

Jazz Band: We are playing some pretty challenging music this spring, so hopefully the students are bringing it home to practice. The rehearsals have sounded great so far!

Also, please mark 4/3 on your calendars for our performance at the AMS Jazz Festival
