Superintendent’s Message

On behalf of the Board of Education, administration and staff of the Holland Township
School District I would like to welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year.

The Holland Township School District is a Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grade
district with an enrollment of approximately 640 students. Approximately 90
professional and para-professional staff members provide educational services to students
of the district.

The district is committed to providing students with an educational program that meets
their individual needs and abilities and prepares them to become individuals who
can effectively function in our democratic society. All students are provided with
experiences in problem-solving, higher-level thinking, information processing, the
responsibilities of citizenship, and the importance of community service.

As a “New Jersey School to Watch” we have been recognized for our excellence in
middle level education and serve as a model for other school districts. High expectations,
supportive parents, dedicated teachers, staff, administration and students focused on
excellence are all a factor in the district’s continued success.

The Holland Township School operates under a community school concept. We are
committed to open and honest communication between school and community to
enhance public understanding and participation in our programs and activities. Our
school facilities are used for a variety of community activities including scouts, township
sponsored sports, meetings of community based committees and organizations and the
annual community day celebration held in September.

The Holland Township Board of Education, administration and staff are dedicated to
providing a positive, safe and nurturing environment where all students strive to reach
their full potential. Our open door policy encourages dialog between teachers, parents,
and administration in the common goal of providing the very best educational experience
for the children of Holland Township.

I am proud of the efforts and accomplishments of the students and staff in the Holland
Township School District and I look forward to continuing our efforts with parents and
the community in providing our students with the best education possible.
