April is Autism Awareness Month

HTSD Community News, School News, Sports and Clubs

April is National Autism Awareness Month. Autism is a complex disorder of brain development and affects 1 in every 88 children. These children are your friends, neighbors, students and family members. We all know someone with this challenging disorder and the Helping Hands Club would like to help them.

Beginning Monday, April 15th and running through Tuesday, April 30th, the Helping Hands Club will be selling puzzle pins during school lunch hours. Each pin will be sold for just $1.00 and all proceeds will go directly to Autism Speaks.

Each pin was lovingly made by members of the Helping Hands Club and is unique and special, just like many of the children who struggle with autism.

We hope you will purchase a pin (or two!) in support of Autism Speaks. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
