Holland Township School extends its Everyday Hero campaign beyond its borders of the classroom. Principal Dr. Yard began Holland’s 2016 Everyday Hero campaign on September 6th, the first day of school, and is now inviting parents and community members to participate in Holland’s campaign to promote the hero within.
The community-wide effort is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and will be held at Holland Township School at 710 Milford Warren Glen Road, Milford, NJ.
The town-wide event is a stand of ‘unity within the community’ to promote acceptance. We encourage students, parents, grandparents, business owners, community leaders to join us in this family centered program.
The evening is set to:
– Educate: Through hands-on activities show ways to promote kindness, acceptance and tolerance.
– Elevate: Foster awareness of the strength within by creating a family cape and shield. Walk the hallways and read about the many “Everyday Heroes” that have impacted our students.
– Participate as a community: Raise monies by donating $1 to our Children’s Holiday Fund for community families and leave with a Super Family Photo.
Holland Township’s Hero campaign empowers students to recognize the power of everyday behaviors and the ability to impact one another in a positive way. “Be A Hero, Stand Tall, Stand Strong” shows that words and actions matter and can be used to effect positive change and a positive culture where everyone contributes and everyone is accepted. Please join us as we find the hero that exists in all of us.
The community program is being organized by Holland Township School Counselor, Jennifer Leap and parent, Jannie Pilgrim-Johnson, author of The Prince Garrett series of books. Refreshments will be served.
