Health Office – Strep Throat

Strep Throat

• Throat pain
• Difficulty swallowing
• Red, swollen tonsils, sometime with white spots
• Tiny red spots on the roof of the mouth
• Fever
• Headache
• Stomach ache
• Rash
If you suspect your child has strep throat, please notify your physician for
further evaluation. Please contact the school nurse, if your child does in fact
have strep throat. Your child may return to school after he/she has had
antibiotics for at least 24 hours and is considered to be no longer contagious
and in accordance with your doctor’s orders. It is important to finish the
entire course of medication, even if your child feels better.
